Luz María Cardenal es directora de cine, guionista, cantautora y multiinstrumentista, y la primera mujer stickista en México. Es egresada del Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica y ha realizado proyectos cinematográficos con estímulos y becas; su trabajo fílmico se ha exhibido en México, Suecia, Polonia, Estados Unidos, Colombia, Chile, Argentina, entre otros países. Es cofundadora de la escuela de cine IMA y directora de la Universidad Cuauhnáhuac en Morelos. Como música, se presenta en formato solista utilizando voz, Chapman Stick y live looping, y ha llevado su proyecto a escenarios en Japón, Alemania, Inglaterra y México.

Luz María Cardenal is a film director, screenwriter, singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, and the first female Chapman Stick player in Mexico. She is a graduate of the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica and has created film projects supported by grants and public funding; her films have been screened in Mexico, Sweden, India, the United States, Colombia, Chile, and Argentina, among other countries. She is the co-founder of the IMA film school and director of Universidad Cuauhnáhuac in Morelos, Mexico. As a musician, she performs as a solo artist using voice, Chapman Stick, and live looping, and has brought her project to stages in Japan, Germany, England, and Mexico.
